Founded in 1994, IIT Guwahati is on the northern side of the wide blue Brahmaputra river and spreads across 285 hectares.

Forest Research Institute, Dehradun

Founded in 1906 and an important centre for forestry research in India, it is 2,000 acres in size, featuring labs, libraries, a treasure trove of plants and a collection of beautiful heritage Greco-Roman style buildings.

Vellore CMC

Described as a serene, wooded campus, the 135-year-old medical college, founded by an American misionary Dr Ida Scudder, occupies 19 acres in the northern Tamil Nadu city.

National Institute Of Technology, Srinagar

Indian Institute Of Science, Bengaluru

Jamsetji Tata helped establish this much respected institute in 1909 on 400 acres in the heart of the city. With avenues named Gulmohar, Mahogany, Ashoka & hundreds of exotic plant species, you can well imagine the beauty of the grounds.

National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla

17 km from Pune, near Khadakwasla Lake, with views of the ramparts of Sinhagad Fort, the 1955-established National Defence Academy campus runs to 7,015 acres. Many of its buildings are made from Jodhpur sandstone.
